Where’s My Favorite Song?

I continue to get the question, “Why isn’t (insert song name here) on Endless Day?  It was my favorite song!”  So, I thought I’d take a moment to address this question generally.
Twilight Hour was my attempt to create an album with no real equipment, knowledge of recording, or experience. It sold fairly well for an independent release, but we got a record deal around September and had to make some hard decisions for the professional release.  We had time and money for 10 songs and TH had 13 songs on it. We had to step back and look at our most solid 10 songs to bring over to Endless Day.
I decided that I wanted to add a new song that no one had heard, so we had to whittle it down to the 9 most solid songs + one new song. Thorns, Third Wife, Twilight Hour, and Sun’s Lament could see the light of day on future albums, but I can’t promise you anything at this point. We had to choose the 9 that fit together the best, too. (Read more…)

Already Dead?

I was just listening to the new CD and feeling very impressed at how well the whole thing turned out.  We had the good fortune to be able to work with some amazingly talented musicians on this project and it wouldn’t have been half as great-sounding without them!

Since the first fans should be getting their CDs now, I was just wondering what everyone thinks of it.  Do you like it?  Do you hate it?  Do you have a favorite song?  If so, what is it?  Is there a song you think we changed too much for this album?  Let us hear from you!  We want to know!  I’m particularly interested in hearing what you think about Already Dead, since its a new song.  I think its a pretty sool song, but I did write it after all.  Since we dropped Sun’s Lament for this project I felt we needed to include another Jake song in its place.

We also hope everyone has a Merry Christmas and a generally happy holiday season!  Thanks so much for listening to us!  We appreciate it so much!

Twilight songs better with new lyrics

Due to multiple circumstances including Stephenie Meyer’s love for “Jacob Black” and our debut CD “Endless Days”, we have updated the lyrics to the Twilight-inspired songs. Below is a preview of what is to come:
